Witt/Kieffer is conducting a search for the Chief Operating Officer for Canterbury Court in Atlanta, Georgia.
In 1960, Atlanta’s All Saints’ Episcopal Church and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, formed a nonprofit corporation that became Canterbury Court, Atlanta’s first Life Plan Community (LPC) – what some call a CCRC (continuing care retirement community). Today, Canterbury Court offers 200 independent living apartments, as well as 18 apartments for catered living and 44 skilled nursing rooms for rehabilitation, nursing, and long-term care. Plans are underway for continued growth and expansion of Canterbury Court to meet the continued needs of their residents and the Atlanta community.
Canterbury Court is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and inspirational Chief Operating Officer (COO) to partner with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and executive leadership team, to continue to build upon the core management strength and operational excellence of the organization. Reporting to the CEO, this newly created position will provide the CEO an opportunity to focus on strategic visioning and governance, stakeholder relations, and policy and systems creation while the COO will provide leadership and direction in improving operating performance and meeting plan goals and objectives. The new COO must be responsive and innovative, flexible yet decisive, highly collaborative in nature, and desirous of working in a faith-based and values-driven organization.
