Duties: The position is for a full-time internist and involves providing primary care to a panel of patients, as well as precepting medical residents and medical students as a clinician educator with an academic appointment at Yale University. The physician will also supervise inpatient and medicine consult care, each for 1 month each year (negotiable).
We seek a physician who is highly skilled in the management/treatment of a patient's primary care needs, including preventive, chronic and urgent care. The physician will operate as a member of the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT).
The PACT consists of the Physician, RN Care Manager, an LPN or Health technician, and a Medical Support Assistant. The clinic is also well-supported by Social Work, Case Management, and Clinical Pharmacy. You will provide medical care services and evaluation of Veterans with compassion and provide education and counseling of Veterans and families regarding preventive care, medical conditions, and treatment.
Work Hours: 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday
Salary Range: Up to $225k per year
Relocation/Recruitment Incentives may be authorized
Selected candidate may be eligible for student loan repayment up to $200,000 over a 5 year period thru the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP). Participation is based on funds availability.
BE/BC Internal Medicine
U.S. citizenship: Must be a US citizen. Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens
English language proficiency: Must be proficient in spoken and written English
Physical standards: All applicants must meet the physical standards for the position. A physical examination prior to employment may be required.
Licensure and Registration: Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States or in the District of Columbia.
