We are recruiting a Division Director, Education to join our Sub Acute Units within our Hospital Division. This is a work from home position that requires high travel. Provides support, guidance, clinical and administrative expertise, and management of the SAU's education and training processes and practices. Serves as knowledge expert in the design, implementation and evaluation of effective training programs. Serves as the SAU administrative representative in the implementation and monitoring of the Kindred Learning Management System. Serves as the SAU administrative representaitve in the monitoring of Kindred's 3 rd party (License, OIG, and exclusive/sanction)-Provider Trust. Essential Functions: - Participates in planning and creating operational, service design and other organizational plans and policies to achieve the mission and vision of the SAU division.
- Develops, designs and provides policies and procedures that guide and support the provision and integration of education services according to mission and vision of the SAU division.
- Participates in district performance improvement activities to measure and assess the quality of services provided.
- Develops, assists and supports the SAU division's implementation plan for education and training with focus on standardization.
- Recommends, designs, and assists the SAU division in developing in-services for new techniques, practices, equipment and products. Ensures content and delivery method is appropriate, accurate and complete.
- Works collaboratively with the Director of Clinical Operations as appropriate to provide educational programs, tools and processes for orientation, in-service training and continuing education to ensure qualified and competent staff to provide safe, efficient and effective care.
- Oversight and management of the Kindred's Learning System (KLC) for the division.
- Conducts periodic audits of the KLC to ensure integrity of the database, consistency and compliance, timeliness of data entry and overall use of the KLC.
- Collaborates with facility staff development coordinators in developing and implementing job specific competencies.
- Development of the annual CORE competency checklist and training course/programs with the goal of achieving and maintaining the highest level of clincial competency and quality of care.
- Provides assistance to the SAU's in the maintenance of an accurate and complete education record on each employee to include hospital orientation, department specific orientation, annual required training and competencies and compliance training.
- Assists facilities in managing regulatory requirements related to education and training.
- Assists with the orientation of the Director of Nursing and the Staff Development Coordinator.
- Continual review/revison of the SAU's general orienation program to ensure complaince with Kindred's overall mission and state and federal requirements.
- Provides education to the Staff Development Coordiantor on Kindred's Infection Control and Management Program.
- Assists the SAU's with program/course development for inclusion in Kindred's learning system.
- Development of yearly mandatory educational calendar to meet the educational requirements for Kindred, state and federal.
- Assures that clinical protocols and nursing policies and procedures are understood by the SDC.
- Monitors and addresses issues (Licensing, OIG, & exclusion monitoring) identified thru Kindred's 3 rd party (Provider Trust) timely to decrease risk and overall complaince of the SAU's.
- Assists with development and revision of policy and procedures to meet the ever changing SAU needs.
- Assists with establishing standards of care, competencies, policies and procedures in quality, cost efficient and for all clinical staff.
- Maintains the SDC and Clinical Operations Web page on KNECT.
- Participates in the annual review process for policy and procedures and SAU job descriptions.
- Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company's Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
- Other duties as assigned by the Distrist Director of Clinical Operations.

Approximate percent of time required to travel: 80% - Bachelor's degree in nursing or higher in nursing related field
- Licensed as an RN in the state of residence.
- Within 6 months of employment hire date must obtain licensure in the states that the SAU's are located.
- 5+ years nursing experience in a long term care environment. 2+ years management experience including responsibility for regulatory issues and performance improvement programs. Multi-site experience is preferred.
