The VA Nebraska Western-Iowa Health Care System in Omaha NE is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Non-Invasive General Cardiologist with preference for additional training and experience in Echocardiography and Heart Failure qualifications to join our VA Healthcare Team. Selected Physician will practice in both outpatient and inpatient direct care setting, and should demonstrate outstanding clinical cardiology skills and a passion for teaching and scholarship. Previous post-training academic experience and a history of publication in peer-reviewed cardiology journals is highly preferred. The Cardiology Section is able to perform coronary angiography, PCI, EP and all manner of echo procedures with state of the art echo equipment, and has three faculty who are able to interpret echoes and do TEE/stress echo/DSE. The Omaha VAMC, an acute care 100-bed tertiary care facility, providing inpatient, medical, surgical and psychiatric care, in addition to its ambulatory care services and home to major clinical research programs, is academically affiliated with Creighton University School of Medicine and the University of Nebraska.

Must be Board Certified in Cardiology Specialty (Board Eligible New Grads Considered)
Additional Training and Experience in Echocardiography and Heart Failure is highly desired

Benefits and Features:
Expected Salary range for well qualified Cardiologist will be from $275,000.00 to $330,000.00 per year, and may include Recruitment / Relocation Incentive, Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) of up to $200,000 for qualified school loans, and up to $15,000 Annual Performance Bonus
