Responsibilities will include the full scope of Nephrology practice: Function as the expert for patient care related to acute, chronic, and end-stage kidney disease, fluid, electrolyte and acid-base disorders. Develop treatment plans, including but not limited to dialysis (hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy). Round on hospitalized patients, attending in clinics, writing of prescription medications, writing for consultative services, diet instruction, and other physician-driven or exclusive decisions. Provide evaluations and treatment recommendations, including acute dialysis orders, for hospitalized patient. Provide on-phone coverage on an as-needed basis during times when the provider is not present at either campus to include holidays, night, and weekends. Experience and interest in managing patients with kidney transplant and patients receiving home modalities of dialysis is strongly preferred. Additionally, completion of advanced training in research methodology is highly desirable. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am to 4:30pm
