CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is pleased to announce it has been retained by Rose Villa to conduct an executive search for its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Founded in 1957, Rose Villa is a non-profit, single-site, Life Plan Community, with approximately 372 residents and 183 staff located on 22 lush acres overlooking the Willamette River. Rose Villa is dedicated to supporting older adults to live the life of their own choosing, full of self-purpose, independence and autonomy. Nationally recognized as an innovator, a trailblazer, and an inspiration for changing the face of aging, Rose Villa is a forward-thinking, fun, and fiscally sound organization. Rose Villa recently celebrated the successful completion of a 10-year $155 million master plan and campus redevelopment.

Requirements

Rose Villa seeks a CEO who supports and values the high quality of life residents deserve and expect. The successful candidate has proven experience in engaging and supporting a strong board and leading an exceptionally talented team, thinking strategically and holistically, improving operations and services, and developing and implementing a vision for the future. Someone who is an ardent and committed voice for resiliency and sustainability, intergenerational growth and development, and is authentically passionate about ways to bring people, organizations, and opportunities together towards common goals. A CEO who exemplifies the highest ethics and integrity, interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and models empathy, respect, sensitivity, and engagement; communication is direct, honest, and respectful. Someone who demonstrates a genuine love and respect for people from all backgrounds and cultures, and is committed to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. The CEO must have the ability to maintain and engage a wide variety of voices (partners, staff, residents, stakeholders, etc.), deliver clear communication, build cohesion, and deliver results. Transparent and effective in organizational governance, the CEO utilizes exceptional interpersonal skills and diplomacy with all stakeholders.

The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) with a minimum of five years demonstrated senior management experience leading a multi-level, non-profit, senior living community. They must have a demonstrated understanding of complex, non-prot accounting best practices, and have the ability to oversee planning, management, and execution of an $20+ million operating budget and provide support and strategic direction for the Rose Villa Foundation Board with assets of $7+ million.
