Clarewood House is a faith-based, not-for-profit senior living community offering independent living, assisted living, and extended care services. Following a long-tenured leadership transition, the organization is seeking a Chief Executive Officer who can preserve the mission and strengths of the community while guiding the organization through an important period of operational evolution and long-term positioning.
The Board seeks a forward-thinking and operationally strong leader who brings sound judgment, strong relationship management skills, financial and organizational discipline, and the ability to unify teams around shared priorities. The successful candidate will be highly engaged within the life of the community, capable of building confidence across all stakeholder groups, and committed to strengthening organizational performance while preserving Clarewood House’s mission-centered culture.

Job Summary:
Clarewood House is seeking a Chief Executive Officer who understands that census and occupancy growth are critical to the organization’s long-term strength and sustainability. The successful candidate will bring a holistic view of growth, recognizing that lasting success depends on alignment across operations, resident experience, clinical services, dining, marketing, workforce engagement, and community reputation.
The ideal leader will demonstrate professionalism, humility, emotional intelligence, and strong operational discipline, while maintaining a visible and approachable presence throughout the community. Working closely with an engaged Board of Directors, the CEO must be comfortable leading within a collaborative governance structure and building trust among residents, staff, families, board members, and external partners.
Success in this role will require sound judgment, organizational sophistication, financial stewardship, and the ability to navigate a complex senior living and healthcare environment. The CEO will be expected to balance strategic growth, operational excellence, quality care, workforce leadership, resident expectations, and mission-driven governance with clarity, consistency, and accountability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in healthcare, business, or related field preferred.
Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) credential or strong skilled nursing operational experience preferred.
Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, or related services.
Experience overseeing independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing operations within a single campus preferred.
Mission-driven, collaborative, and emotionally intelligent leader committed to resident-centered service and organizational stewardship.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to build trust, communicate effectively, foster collaboration, and lead strategically.
